Gabe is FOUR!!!!

My sweet Gabe turned four last weekend! We celebrated with family and a few friends. Gabe enjoyed being the center of attention, which is rare for a middle child. I must share a few thoughts on Gabe. This child has a super soft heart. Once, Justin and I kept telling Luke to stop putting his hand in Angel's water bowl. Time after time, he kept doing it, so Justin swatted his hand (gently of course, he is only a baby). Luke began to cry. Well, Gabe saw the whole thing and was VERY upset. He folded his arms across his chest and began to cry that we made Lukey cry. He was mad at us. That moment meant the world to me. I hate to see my children cry, but a lot was said about Gabe's heart in that moment. I believe I will remember that forever. Gabe is very much a "free spirit". Sometimes I wonder what he's thinking, when his head seems to be "in the clouds". He LOVES to play with his big brother and cousins. He would rather play with kids that are older than kids his own age or younger. When there is a dispute over "fairness" and I threaten to end the game or take away the toy, he is always the first to give in, just to keep the fun going. Meaning, if they are fighting over an action hero, who had it first, he will let Isaiah or whoever, have it just so they can keep playing. I think that small example says volumes, and I can't tell you how proud it makes me to be able to say that this child is mine. Many of my friends who have daughters, claim Gabe as their daughters future husband! He is quite a cutie! When he smiles, his eyes can melt you, and of out 3 children, he has THEE BEST LAUGH. He also, is the one who loves to get up early and go out for pancakes with Justin on a saturday morning. Isaiah and I cuddle in bed and are home-bodies. Anyway, don't mean to bore you, but this is like my diary. I love this boy, as I love all three. I could go on forever...

all that you said about Gabe is so true, what a personality that kid has! I used to tell Nathan when he was being a stinker that it was a good thing he was so cute ;) I love Gabe's tender heart, too, what a sweet story.
