Last week we started a school-day with this little project. I saw a la-di-da version of it in Better Homes & Gardens and loved the idea. It reminder me that I did something like this at the Pulse Gym where I used to work, only we traced the kids hands and wrote on them instead of leaves. Anyway, the boys enjoyed thinking of what they wanted to write. Isaiah put food, our family my house... Gabe put Grandma, Jesus, God... and they both put Santa! I had a nice chuckle about that one. School is really falling into a comfortable routine. One Friday, Gabe ASKED if we could start school!!! Not lying! :)

I really enjoy doing crafts. I'm quite sure I get it through the Kaiser blood. My Grandmother is amazing, she can do ANYTHING! Later on in my life, I will enjoy spending time making things. For now, I enjoy the few chances I get. Justin's buddy at work, Joseph, and his wife, are expecting their first child in January. They found out it was a boy and already picked a name. I was so excited to get to make another name plaque. I made one for Lily's room and have been itching to paint ever since. It's nothing special, anyone could do it, but for some reason I just really enjoy it. I might even try to sell them for ten bucks or something. It would make a cute baby shower gift and would pay for me to get a Starbucks every now and then! :) :) :)
This one is not finished but I wanted to go ahead and post it. I show you the finished version before I give it to them.

Here's "Lil" keeping me company in the kitchen...

Pumpkins & a Hay-ride at Iseley Farm

The kids and I went to a local farm for a hayride and pumpkins last week. It was a beautiful day! The first part of the hayride went great. We saw goats, newborn calves, kittens, and beautiful scenery. About halfway through, we had stopped to feed the big cows and I looked down and Luke had blood all over his face! A few weeks ago, a small red bump popped up on his nose. I wasn't sure if it was just a pimple or something, so I didn't think much of it and just waited. It never went away, and started to look like a small version of Lily's strawberry hemangioma on her chest. I remember the doctor telling me that they don't attempt to remove them because they will just bleed and bleed. And that's EXACTLY what Luke's nose did! Blood everywhere! It would NOT stop! Thankfully, I had packed a brand new package of baby wipes in my diaper bag. They came in handy! Luke became so irritated with me having to wipe his nose every few seconds, but the blood was coming out so fast, it was going to drip. After a few minutes, he was in full meltdown. And we had a long way back to the car. Thankfully, it stopped just minutes before arriving back at the pumpkin patch. All in all, it was a great time. Got to see some old sweet, familiar faces and meet some new ones. Here are some pics of our adventure...
