Luke and his pet... crockpot

Yes, Lukey loves pulling around my crockpot like a dog on a leash. I swear the child does not play with toys. At all. He is into EVERYTHING ELSE!!! I have to say, he's been such a joy lately. Still every bit a handful, but sweet and funny and brightens my day. He is talking more and more each day, which is so much fun! I love you Luke Arthur!!!

cool story

I hope you find this as awesome as I did!

The other day, I had a splinter in my finger after pulling weeds. I needed Justin's help getting it out, so I brought my tweezers out to the living room. He got it out for me, but I haven't seen my tweezers since. About a week went by, and I caught a glimpse of myself up close in the mirror... my eyebrows had grown in like butch style! I couldn't believe I was walking around like that! So I added "tweezers" to my grocery list. Later that day, I was going through a big box of old camping stuff that my Mom brought down. I was going to have to put everything into a smaller box to fit it in the attic. I pulled out my Dad's old giant camping backpack and out fell a pair of tweezers onto the floor!!! I lost my breath and tears came to my eyes. I felt so close to Dad. He IS still here! I will NEVER forget this moment!!!

We recently adopted a policy that my sister-in-law uses at her house: video games only on the weekend. We made the exception of Wednesdays. I had gotten frustrated with the fight that always occurred when it was time to turn it off, they were addicted. I knew what needed to be done but dreaded the transition period, worried that they had completely forgotten how to play! Well they have adapted wonderfully. I love listening to them playing together. It makes me feel like all is right with the world. We've had a really nice weekend. Here, the boys are letting the creative juices flow. I love it!
